Smedjan hade uppf\u00f6rts 1929 av smeden S\u00f6derberg och \u00f6vertogs 1937 av Kalle Str\u00f6mqvist.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"JUSTIFY\">Karl Str\u00f6mqvists smedja l\u00e5g i korsningen Stockarydsv\u00e4gen\/Esplanaden. Den 9 september 1974 revs den n\u00e4r Esplanaden breddades, och d\u00e4rmed var bysmideriets saga all i Vrigstad.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"LTR\" style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"JUSTIFY\">Karl Str\u00f6mqvist hade p\u00e5 30-talet g\u00e5tt ut kadetten p\u00e5 Alnarps hovslagarskola. Han hade en bur av kraftigt virke ute p\u00e5 g\u00e5rden. Ett par kraftiga h\u00e4ngmattor placerades under h\u00e4stens buk, med \u00e4ndarna stabilt fastgjorda med krokar i kraftiga j\u00e4rnr\u00f6r p\u00e5 burens sidor.
